What did you make of this?

Has anyone seen this?

I saw this as a bonus feature on the "Love in the Afternoon" DVD and found it to be quite interesting. I was mulling it over and am still unsure if it is just a funny story to be taken at face value or if there is some meaningful commentary in it aside from the obvious (i.e., teachers don't always know/understand what they teach). What was your take? Because it's an Eric Rohmer film I'm guessing there's more to it than meets the eye.

I also found the shots of the tutor removing her shoes under the table to be quite interesting. They were very deliberate and somehow vaguely sexual (or maybe that's just me). I wonder what the purpose of that was as well...
