Strange, I just tried the link and it does work. It's not a direct link, it needs to be cut and pasted into your browser address bar.

If that still doesn't work, try going to the main link to the site: http://www.china.org.cn/english/index.htm and do a search for Wei Minzhi.

I just did and found an older link below.

Wow, thank you so much for this. I haven't read the entire article, but saw her picture and it made me happy! :-) I heard after the movie she did some tea commercials in China, wearing the same clothes in the movie! :-) I've always wondered about what happened to her! And the boy in the movie, too.

Thanks again for this.. This is one of my, if not my, all time favorite movies!

Glad to see her life changed for good after her wonderful performance in Not One Less.

More important than to become a famous actress (or director as she wishes), is the fact that, thanks to the film's success, she have had some opportunities that other kids in her same situation never will have.

Well done, Teacher Mei! I wish you the best. Same to the other kids.

Thanks for this , I adore this film and was wandering what happened to its unique and excellent cast.

Congrats to Wei, I hope the same happens to Zhang. Hopefully China tackles her rural poverty problems so all kids get to go to elementary school at least.

More about her remarkable life after Not One Less. She's now 30, married and has a son Qian Liu.

An article from 2011:

The following are all in Mandarin, but it's pretty easy to get an idea of what's being said. If someone would kindly translate these, that would be greatly appreciated!

A 2009? interview on Chinese TV (CCTV).

This is an amazing interview in which Minzhi speaks a few times in fluent English, we are introduced to her husband, Jinhui Liu and I believe, her sister and nieces.

Wideo of her accompanying the BYU-Hawaii chorus to China in 2007, a video of her son at Disneyland and some of her camera work.
