Lenny taking a picture of Teddy...

In the end of the movie (and beginning of story), Lenny wants to take a picture of Teddy.
Does anybody have a clue why Teddy asked to change the place where the picture was about to be taken?
Would there be any possible hint of who was the murderer of Lenny's wife on the background or scenario?
Feeling intrigued....

The real question is why didn't he already have one?
If he did, where did it go?
did Teddy take it so as not to be connected with Leonard if he was arrested for a different murder?

Any thoughts?

Because the background was the hotel. By standing in front of his car instead, he couldn't be placed by investigators at the hotel with Leonard if things went bad.

Taking the photo back from Leonard was probably his goal down the road. Just like he wanted him to ditch the victim's clothes and car.
