Seinfeld referance?

When Tate's grandfather puts down "sipi" during Scrabble and says it's not in a regular dictionary because it's medical. That was straight out of Seinfeld, anyone else catch that?

SPOILER ALERT: Soylent Green is, in fact, people.

I think it's an earlier one, maybe the first one that featured Seinfeld's parents (or maybe not). Jerry and Mrs. Seinfeld are playing in Jerry's apartment, and Kramer helps Mrs. Seinfeld. He puts down the word "Quon" and Jerry challenges. It's not in the dictionary, and Kramer says, "No, you need a medical dictionary! You 'quon' something!"
