What is your interpretation of Ken Park?

Just like Kids, this film left me confused. I'm not sure what to think...
I'm not sure if I get the message at all. I mean, I'm genuinely confused. Kids was more about the dangers of HIV and all of that jazz. I wish they had explored other themes and the character's lives a bit more. The ending could have been different, too.

Ken Park is about... well, parental abuse. I don't know. Some people have said the characters were seeking for attention, love... a bit of affection, and I kind of realise that... but at the same time, I'm not sure what they were trying to say with the film.

I'm not trying to complain, I liked Ken Park, it was interesting, and I couldn't look away. I had to see everything.

Tate is an awesome character too. A total psycho, but I like him very much.

I used to think that Larry Clark and Harmony Korine were weirdos but I changed my mind. They are decent filmmakers that aim to show the truth of life, and the youth. Even if that means they will show violence or nudity.

In art, these kind of things are necessary sometimes. The best example I can come up with is "In the Realm of the Senses". The story is based in real life events and I feel that without the explicit content the message would be lost. Just like in Kids.
I used to be somewhat of a prude, but not anymore. I don't really care now. It's natural.

I feel like if you're mature enough, and if you have an open mind, you are able to enjoy things much more. Especially films.

And no, Kids wasn't child porn. They aimed to shock. They succeeded. It was necessary. It was a wake up call to the world. I left feeling disgusted and shocked at the character's actions. They had to show the sex, the drugs, etc. What happens in the film happens in real life, too, unfortunately.

I am not part of the skater subculture and I've never done anything the characters do. A more experienced person might have a different opinion.

I must still thank Larry Clark and Harmony Korine for Ken Park and everything else.

My interpretation is... wear condoms. Like Kids, but for entirely different, and stupider, reasons.

I didn't care too much for kids, it was an ok film but I wouldn't buy it. Now ken park on the other hand is quite a dirty little masterpiece! If it ever comes out on blu ray, I will be the first to buy it! Sounds exciting to watch this film in sexxxy 1080p hi def! I Love movies that push boundaries.
A lot of people hate these types of films, but I Love them. My taste is in film is against the norm.

My interpretation is that I wouldn't let Larry Clarke babysit my teenage daughters.

My interpretation is that this movie is a disguise in order to get some young actor's clothes off so the director can get off. Seriously, the movie is 'much ado about nothing' with some sex scenes thrown in order to titillate and shock. One word review = Garbage.
