I don't understand what was so special about her that warranted a 7-story arc. Amy has never taken such an interest in any of the juveniles that come through her courtroom. The only thing I can figure is that it was to distract us from what is the worst season out of the whole show.

You're right. Have you noticed how many complaints there have been about Up skipping around? If you're going to cut and paste and edit it to hell and back, why even show it? Keep showing Touched by an Angel or 7th Heaven, starring a child rapist. Are they only allowing this show to stay on their lineup since he plays a preacher? Wouldn't surprise me.

There haven't been as many as there were back in 2011 and 2012 when it was still new to UP (GMC at the time)
They started airing it in July 2011. At the time, they were skipping more episodes than usual due to not having them supplied to them
Now they have access to every episode but they still skip the ones with too much content they disagree with.
They try to be family friendly
But come on, Maxine is a Social Worker who deal with abused kids, so she uses words and phrases like "raped", "Molested", "sexually abused", "sexually violated", ETC in context to the story line. That kind of language isn't family friendly.
As for 7th Heaven, They originally removed 7th heaven and released a statement about a year ago

but too many people complained that since he's in character and that it's a good show, they can look past his actions since they'll be too focused on the story lines anyways
Does that make any sense at all? You can't say ass, but you can show Reverend Perv with no qualms at all. I don't know if you saw Stella with Bette Midler. This is one of my daughter's and my favorite movies. He's in it and he does this dork thing; pointing toward his shoulder, he says, "I think you need to put your head right here." So, I'm thinking he said the same thing outside of the movie, only he gestured to another part of his anatomy. 😀

On the episode "Requiem" where Jared dies, They edited the scene where Amy sees the death announcement in the paper Stu bought.
When Amy gets out of the tent, Originally you see her waking up but you see her shoulders, implying she's naked under the covers.
They just skip to her zipping up the tent from the outside
Meanwhile at nighttime on their channel on "the Parkers", Professor Olgevee lost all of his money losing games of poker. It becomes Strip Poker and he loses that and Leaves Nikki and Kim's apartment, which he's upstairs from, With a pillow covering his crotch.
I just really hope that some other network gets the show soon.
I agree with you on the garciela story line. She's not a very likeable or sympathetic character, and than besides Amy we have the defense attorney representing her pro bono. I don't get it.
Not to beat a dead horse, but the episode yesterday had Graciela getting arrested for murder. And Judge Gray goes to her arraignment and basically shows her ass. Has she ever done this for any other kid? WTF? Luckily, we are getting to the end of the series and hopefully they won't start it all over again. Why are you watching it, you may ask? It's like a train wreck and I can't look away. 😁
