Did it end well?

Did this show end well and wrap everything up or was it suddenly cancelled?

Amy didn't go forward with David after the miscarriage, but the true denouement of their relationship never really occurred - it was implied they didn't get back together.

Amy and the female lawyer were able to prove that Graciella was innocent, and went to the prison to get her released, only to find out that Graciella had been knifed to death a few hours earlier by a gang member. In response, Amy said "I'm done" and quit the bench. Bruce had already quit in response to a fight with Amy and decided to go full ahead to get his child psychologist degree.

The lobbyist pressing her to run for office got her in front of Congress to give her take on juvenile justice. Her family watched her on TV and Maxine said softly, "Go, girl." Just before she testified, Bruce turned up and sat behind her. She said "You came." Bruce said "You called" and they held hands a moment before she began.

Oh yeah: Maxine and Ignacio got back together and he told her that she was going to marry him! Personally, I think he was better for her than Jared could ever be.
