What is the name of the song that the father plays from the CD he buys after his son dies. It sounds like late 80's british pop but i can't tell who it is. If anyone knows i would greatly appreciate it.

It's "By This River" and you can find it in Brian Eno's(of King Crimson's fame) CD "Before and after science" dated from 1977.

it was also used in one of the key scenes in demi moore's Striptease.

King Crimson?! you mean Roxy Music my good fellow! Robert Fripp collaborated with Eno, releasing two albums as 'Fripp & Eno', but thats as far as the connection goes. Fantastic song, nonetheless.
