There's no doubt in my mind that it would've been a different movie without Mickey Rourke as the bad guy Cyrus! He's a great villian in movies and plays it oh, sooo cool! He's awesome and I think he's underated as an actor for his accomplishments!
He's the real deal, and that's why he plays tough guys so good, is because he is!

Ive seen this movie and it is not a patch on the origional. it is a failed remake in my opinion and does nothing for the actors in it, no matter how good or bad they are.

He has a number of new movies coming out, and they are not B type movies, they are w/some very good actors as well..Mickey doesn't have those boyish looks that I fell in love w/all those years ago, but Mickey still has IT!
Matter of fact he will be in a new movie w/Sylvester -- its called the Expendables-- and its very action packed--which is my fave type movies...

Rourke was good in this that is true but the direction takes the credit there. Rourke has been in some shockers before so stop talking out of your arse lol.
He is only one of the actors in this movie whose performances deserve credit and not particularly before anyone else.
Mickey was good in Get Carter. He's nominated now for The Wrestler for giving a good performance. In my opinion, he always gives a good performance. He's a good actor. I thought he was good as Marv too.
I wouldn't say Rourke made the movie better. Without Stallone, the movie is nothing. Stallone, in my opinion, made the movie better. The movie had weak writing and weak directing, but the actors did good.
The funny part is I didn't even realize it was Mickey until I saw the credits! He is THAT good.

Interesting tidbit from his interview with Jonathan Ross tonight - the producer wouldn't pay him any sort of decent salary, so Stallone paid him out of his own pocket. Gained a new level of respect for Stallone, actually...
