Very good movie.
I thought it was a very good adaptation of the book, although I thought the book was excellent.
shareI enjoyed it very much. I know the real priest this movie was based on and it seemed to capture his life, although his personality in real life is a little more animated...he has a really good sense of humor and is very charismatic.
The hierarchy was going to close his church, but he said he would keep the church open on his own, without any funding from them and he has. He runs the school and parish, not to mention all the work he does in that area for years. He really is an amazing man.
