Family Guy Effect
I hope that this show gets hit with the Family Guy effect.
By that, I mean that petition-wise, with enough signatures, they'll revive the series.

My heart was broken when it was cancelled - it was my first series as a sound-editor and mixer, and I got to work with an amazing crew of people - and for most of them, it was
But there's really no way to revive "Downtown." The MTV animation department was dismantled, the crew and cast scattered far and wide. It's just one of those shows that "shoulda been a contender." If only a second season had been approved, the show would have had legs. It was cancelled by MTV, and "Spy Groove" was essentially put in its place.
But I sure would like to see a DVD release!!

I'd love this show to come back, a DVD release alone would be amazing.
Sadly I can't see it happening, with Family Guy the DVD sales were so great that the tv execs decided to put it back on the network.
All they care about is money.
And as a New York City based show, 1999-2000 airing, the Word Trade Center towers may date it a bit....... :(
