Pokey/Porky Naming

This has been going back and forth for a while now. Most of us know and refer to him as Pokey. However, Porky is closer to his real Japanese name, and Pokey either came from a mistranslation or was simply an entire name change. In Earthbound he's called Pokey, in Mother 3 (and Super Smash Bros Brawl) he's known as Porky to fit in with the pig theme. Well, I have an opinion/theory that'll make everyone happy.

For characters that gain power, mostly villains, it's not uncommon for them to take on a new name to go with their new position of power. Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, Tom Riddle became Lord Voldemort, heck, even Giygas was originally Giegue in Earthbound Zero before he became... whatever the hell he was supposed to be in Earthbound. So why not look at it the same way in this case. After gaining his new title and powers, little Pokey Minch became Master Porky, the Pig King, or simply King P for short.
