I've been in touch with a local Wesley Owen who have told me this is now out of print.
Does anybody have any information on this, or knows if it is only temporary, possibly leading to a re-release?

While the original question is a bit old, I thought the information would still be helpful.

I saw a new "Special Edition" version of this in the store last night (March 14th, 2007.

For those looking for the older version, I picked mine up at Big Lots, back in July of 2006, for about 3 dollars. I presume it was being sold at Big Lots to make room for the new version that is out.

I just found a brand new VHS copy of this movie. I would say that Big Lots or your Dollar Store would be the best place to look for this. We just caught this on Netflix and my kids adored it. I was ecstatic to find any copy of it.

It has now been reissued in a special edition, but I cannot seem to find out what is different about the re-release that makes it so 'special'. The original release had a "Making-of" featurette too.

And this movie will also be coming out in blu-ray this spring.

It's also available on Netflix, both streaming and on DVD. We're watching it later today!
