I Disliked this Movie, but Another Sequal? Also...

As I mentioned in my comment to this movie, I didn't like "An Extremely Goofy Movie" NEARLY as much as "A Goofy Movie" because much of its premise is overused. Not to mention the DVD kind of sucked compared to the first movie.

But since the trend of the movies is obviously supposed to follow Max growing up, I really feel there will likely be one more movie, about maybe him graduating, or entering the workforce, or as some others I have heard say, some form of marriage. But they obviously can't run it forever to the point he is actually older than Goofy.

And if they do make one more sequal, they better not use the sorely overused "Sports Game Against Cheaters" premise, which is in my opinion, what really killed this second movie.

But on Disney's official site FAQ, a question was asked about Max's mother. Back when Max was known as "Geef Jr." and Goofy played the role of Geef as a sort of other family man (believe it or not, the concept of Max did not begin with Goof Troop), there was a sort of mother to Max and wife to Goofy. However, she was just a voice that was never on screen.

Disney said there may be some future feature film or television show that may finally address this question. Let's assume the mother is NOT dead. Does not the appearance of Sylvia actually introduce the possibility of an interesting conflict in a possible film should Goofy's wife finally make an appearance?

EDIT: Apparently, back when Goofy was known as "George Geef" for a few episode or comics, he did indeed have a son called "Goofy Jr." And he did have a wife that was simply "Mrs. Goofy". We do see her...sort of. We never see her face.

EDIT2: And not related to the movie directly, but I was just wondering something. It is clear from the first movie that there is no denying that anthropomorphic ducks and mice exist in the modern Goofy Universe, what with the cameo of Mickey and Donald. But somehow, everybody is still an anthropomorphic dog in these movies. Similar to cases like the old Duck Tales. Obviously there was more than just ducks, because there was people like the butler (forgot his name). But nearly everybody else in the series is a duck.

So, were obviously looking at two different continuums then.

It's more fun to pretend that kid is Max tho. I hope they do make a sequal. I enjoyed the sequal alot. And in some ways I liked it more because I didn't have to endure singing. Goofy is not meant for singing.

In a possible sequel we could see Max as a young adult after finishing studyes in university.
These are things that I would like to see:
-As the first poster said, Max´s mother appears. Goofy allways told Max she died while he was a baby, when in fact she had to leave and never returned, and so Goofy tryed to forget her but still loves her everyday, so much he had to tell that lie to his son; he couldn´t accept she abandoned them, nor Max would hate her
-While Goofy is a complete...goofy, Max´s mother is a very determined and adventurous woman ( you see, Max is not like Goofy ), and probably worked in dangerous places...becaming amnesic
-A older Goofy with grey hair/fur (LOL)
-Max with a "fashionable" goat beard(LOL)
-Max with a degree in laws or something like that and serious doubts about the future ranging from a deadend job he likes in a music store or a boring but well payed job in a desk, and his garage band (with PJ). Let´s not forget Max is a Generation X son, by now he would be in his late 20´s/ pre 30´s.
-PJ rebeling against Pete (it´s time to give him more importance)
-Roxanne reentering Max life
-Max showing first signs of Goofy genes (LOL) and as so fighting his destiny marrying with Roxanne
-Roxanne geting pregnant before wedding( hum...maybe not, parents wouldn´t like )
-Goofy trying to have his now adult son back, at same time he trys to help (with disasterous actions) organizing the wedding
-Goofy marrying again with his former wive in Max´s wedding
-And of course lots and lots of those damn fine jokes!

While it could another of those horrible soaps, in a cartoon movie this story would ROCK

All right, maybe a too adult but let´s focus some points:
-You don´t have to show hum...sex ( just watch Lion King, we all know what Simba and Nala did that night, and the result later...)
-Goofy movies while originally made for children equally appealed adult people without children, lets not forget it´s the adults who buy the DVD ( as it is supposed to be made for video )
-Take a look at cartoons nowadays, none are innocent, and better show something more serious like real life than violence.
-Goofy movies are cronological: in the first Max is still a boy, in the second
he is a late-teen.
-Goofy movies talk about relationship between generations with lots of jokes and goofyness thrown in.
-Those who were younger when the TV show was released are now adults and will go after the movie.
-By the time I was 20 and even then I didn´t missed a single episode, let alone the movies.

I think those are good ideas, but I highly doubt Disney would go for something like that since their work has become so kid-rated lately. I doubt we'd see anything so dramatic anytime soon.
