Why Roxanne is not in this movie ?

Roxanne (Girl Friend ) of Max is eliminated from this movie, she also finished her school life with Max and PJ , Is she studied in other college ?

reply

Maybe she dumped Max because he didn't treat her like crap.

reply

Well, high school relationships don't last forever, and also, they could well have just gone off to separate colleges, really. It's quite simple, but yes, there are times when you would like to see a certain character make a comback, so.... too bad.

reply

She wouldn't have really been important in the second move. It was more about Max and Goofy.

reply

Not all high school relationships last forever, but many do. Besides, with everything that Max went through to get her, it seems rather depressing for Max if it was only a short relationship.

As for the same college but different areas seems rather silly. If they were in a relationship, they would likely find a way to keep in contact, plus days off.

reply

hahahahhahahahaha genius, pure genius response. Yes they shoulda kept roxanne in it. Maybe max couldnt dance so well in the bed if you know what i mean

they should have had mentioned what happened to roxanne, cuz in the goofy movie just at the end , they were ready to go out or something...so who knows..they didnt mention anything bout what happened during the last movie which they should of lol :-P

Just a suppostion, I'm making a fanfic soon. over at www.fanfiction.net. under the name Doctor of Writting. It will be an idea of what Happened to Roxie.

It would have been dumb to put her in the movie. She was a high school girlfriend. Most people who date in high school don't last. She probably went to a different college too. Even if she didn't go to a different college, many colleges are huge. I know three people who went to my high school and go to my college and I haven't seen them in the three years that I have been in college.

reply

lol... this is a cartoon after all i guess people dont believe in happy endings anymore =P i woulda thought roxie woulda been in the movie >> anyhow real life doesnt work like cartoons do, so dont compare real life with cartoons thats just retarded... just cause cartoon characters can hit themselves with hammers doesnt mean we can... lol

But thats sad. the whole adventure in the first movie was for nothing?

Roxanne *does* appear in XGM, she just doesn't have any speaking role.

When the boys arrive at college, you can see Roxanne and a friend walking by in one foreground shot. She has that same mole on her face and everything, she just has short hair.

reply

Her and Max went to seperate colleges (her UCLA, him Pepperdine). They are now married and living in Santa Monica.

It's the end of the post as we know it, and I feel fine.

reply

Cool I noticed a girl with the same beauty mark in this movie too! It's kinda the Mona thing too from the Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas where Max has a girlfriend who is EXACTLY the same as Roxanne but with short hair and a different name. I think she coulda used Roxanne as a nickname since it was a popular 90s name. Or Mona as a nickname since Roxanne is a bit dated.

reply

correct me if i'm wrong, but fairly during the beginning of the movie (when max and pj and bobby are skateboarding) Max goes by 2 girls while holding a frisbee and a hamburger. i believe the one who says "look at that guy go!" is in fact, roxanne.

reply

That's not ROXANNE.

reply

I attribute this to a narrative slip; the one flaw in this enjoyable movie.

Besides, who's to say Max and Roxanne weren't at the same college? I read a fanfic that had them at the same school. They're still together, but they have different interests.

This isn't entirely unreasonable. I, myself, attended a college that was so big that, unless you had a class with a particular person, you were never going to see them again.

I'm a romantic at heart, and I felt I'd throw in my opinion.

What was the name of the fanaiction and where you find it??

I would have to go with the go to seperate colleges (Which works with the first movie since Roxanne's father disliked Max.) But also they could have been going to the same college and just didn't have time for eachother (Which works with X-GM because it focuses so much on the College X-games and studing in college.) I'm a college student myself and I rarely see the people I call friends outside Anime club.

The only referance we have to go on that Max and Roxanne could still be a couple is in the part where the Beatnik girl is introdused PJ is the only one of the trio who is facinated with her while Max and Bobby were looking around the coffee club. As we all remember Bobby started to get interested in Roxanne's friend in the first movie.

Maybe Disney will make a part 3 to the Goofy Movie and have Max and Roxanne getting married and that could clear things up with where Roxanne could have gone to while Max was a way at college. This could also clear up several other questions such as we what happened to Peg and Pistle (Peg is Pete's wife and Pistle is P.J.'s annoying 6-7 year old sister in Goof Troop.)because they are never seen let alone mentioned in the movie. Also haven't we ever wondered who Max's mother was?

reply

I like the idea of Max and Roxanne being a couple they are so cute together. If he got married it would make Goofy look really old though I mean if they're married he'd practically be a grandpa! Pistle and Peg's absence isn't hard to explain you could just say Peg was selling houses (that was her job in the series) and Pistle was in Middle school.

About Max's Mom I have a topic you can visit to here a theory that some one thought of that I just told people about because it was really good the url is below if you want to read it

They actually still go out together... In one of the episodes of "House of Mouse" we can see both going out for a date. He works in the place.

I really like them as a couple! :D

I know it's just a cartoon movie, but... with everything Max went through in the first movie just to be with her (I have'nt seen it in a long time, but he acted like an angsty brat and almost was at risk of getting himself and his father in trouble/imprisoned?), I kinda would think he'd be with her a little longer... so I dunno XP

Wow, is it me or I've seen Roxanne in the movie? It was, I think the part in the library or diner. Max is seen flirting with a girl that looks similar to Roxanne. Well I'm not saying it was her, but looks like her.

reply

if you are talking about right before Goofy embarrasses him, that is at a clothing store and that is the same girl everyone else is talking about, Roxanne with short hair. but it is clear they don't know each other. also, max is flirting with too many girls to still be dating Roxanne.

reply

I've explained why Roxanne isn't in this movie over on the GOOFY MOVIE board:
Roxanne caught Max in bed with Bigfoot (from the first movie) and she broke up with him.

reply

Its just proberly becuase they couldnt afford her voice or she didnt want to do it. Thats the obvious answer. But yeah i think they should have at least mentioned her in the second one! xx

reply

They're still dating in "House of Mouse" yet in one of the Christmas movies, Max brings home a different girlfriend when he goes home to visit Goofy for the holidays.
