no other game in history with me have I been able to go back and play over and over again. no voice acting terrible graphics of early 3d, but no matter what this game is the ONLY game that doesn't bother me in that way.

I still own the orignal disks for the play station, I bought it second hand actually they still work, I stil own a PS2 that they would work on, I bought it on PS3 and just recently couldn't help myself and grabbed it for PS4 in the store it is amazing upscale to 1080p
and still almost 20 year ago now I can still enjoy this game and want to play it. there is no other game out there that old that I can get out and play now and worry about it being outdated. I won't play 8 that much because I hated the junciton system in drawing magic for countless hours, the not so memorable music like 7 and boring characters that had no backstory at all.

I feel the same way. I found a Greatest Hits copy of the game used a few years ago. Glad that I kept my PS2 to play it. Such a great game. Yeah, FF8 didn't impress me with the junction system.
