Ok, anybody notice they took literally the entire car chase scene from Steven Siegal's "Marked For Death" and pieced it into this movie? It was hilarious! Anyone know more about this? I assume it was just cheaper to buy the footage than to shoot it?
Stock footage of this kind was common in movies by the studio PM Entertainment in the years 1999-2000. The quality of their movies had taken a dramatic turn for the worse, and presumably they used stock footage due to budget cuts. No excuse though.
Another film from the time by the same studio full of stock footage is "Epicenter", as well as "No Tomorrow". Terrible stuff.
It's very common practice in cheapo films by the likes of Jim Wynorski and Fred Olen Ray.
At least it got a mention in the credits, most films that splice in stock footage don't even acknowledge they have done it let alone credit the original film the footage has come from.
I remember this awful movie was on cable when I was going to college and I was flipping through the channels and saw that chase scene from "Marked For Death" and could not believe they used it and spliced pieces together. It was the first time I saw something like that. They also used this chase scene in a move called "Malevolent".
