Not particularly odd since, y'know, The Crystal skulls weren't actually what people claimed them/think them to be and were infact modern creations.

No, Relic Hunter ended in 2002 while Indiana Jones' Crystal Skulls movie was made in 2008. There is no such episode in Relic Hunter nor would one expect there to be. In the season 2 Relic Hunter show, "Don't Go into the Woods," Sydney actually pokes her hand into the skull of the long lost skeleton of Crown Princess Natasha to retrieve the keys to the strongbox which held the Golden Falcon of Maribor relic but the skeleton of Natasha and her chariot riders and bodyguards were all shown as normal skeletons. I'm afraid you're on the wrong show here.

Although I concede that "Don't Go into the Woods" was one of the better season 2 Relic Hunter shows.
