having been trying to find this excellent bbc miniseries 'A Fall of Eagles' that came out in 1974 with Patrick Stewart as Lenin and Curt Jurgens as Bismarck, among many others. Cannot find it, would like a copy if anyone can help out, let me know.

Have also been trying to locate this miniseries. I had taped several episodes off Bravo a decade ago, but never had complete miniseries. If you've had any success locating this I appreciate any leads you have.

As you may know this series is now out on CD-released under licence by the BBC
and it is as excellent as I remember it.

Yes, it is indeed excellent -- both entertaining and informative. It keeps me scrurrying to websites and books to learn more about the events and people depicted, even though it stands up quite well on its own. Too bad it probably won't ever be released in the U.S. My purchase of a region-free DVD player has been extremely worthwhile to be able to see outstanding televisions productions like this one!
