Mitch Albom

Ok this might be a bit random, but we just finished this book in my English class, and we had a huge discussion over it, and the final question my teacher asked was "Do you think that Mitch has changed since he saw Morrie the 2nd time?" or something like that... She also told us that she went to a thing where Mitch was talking about the book... he only talked for a brief period... Idk but in my opinion I don't think he has changed at all... What do you guys think?

I don't know if the movie deviates from the book in anyway or if they are exactly the same, but I just caught this movie today in my Psych class as part of Kubler-Ross' stages of death. From what I recall in the movie, I believe it was after the second time Mitch visited Morrie that you can tell he starts thinking about his life and what's really important to him. After chasing the tennis player out of the bar/restaurant and falling into the gutter he says "what am I doing?" Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that was after his second meeting with Morrie.

I think that question is referring to the second time of meeting with Morrie as, the first time was up until Mitch gaduated from college and the second time was sixteen years later when he watched the Nightline segment that talked about Morrie, and got in touch with him. So did Mitch change after meeting Morrie again sixteen years later? After graduation he had promised to keep in touch but go so caught up in "life" that he did not. He starts visiting him again sixteen years later when he finds out that Morrie is dying. Did he change any after his "class" in life and living?

Not sure about the movie, but it certainly seems from the book that he did. Especially when you consider his brother.
