cuz I remember in RE2 Claire finds a diary in Chris' desk that reads that Jill and Chris left to Europe right after the Mansion soo why is Jill in Raccoon City in RE3? Was that just added as a sequel to bring Jill back as a playable character or a sequel to an alternative ending in RE1?

If you manage to aquire Jill's bonus diary at the end of the game (you need to collect all the in-game files in order on hard, iirc) she explains that after Chris leaves for Europe she decides to stay in Raccoon City to search the research facility for more evidence against Umbrella. She heads out to Europe immediately after this game.
