Feel like I should do phone ads w/ Toby Keith + Terry Bradshaw now...

How I came upon this film is actually quite interesting. My friend and I, who is also an avid movie buff, recently started going to a flea market a few miles out of town every weekend. One week we were there, there was a guy selling a bunch of videos for a buck apiece. One of the videos that he had many copies of was "How To Kill Your Neighbor's Dog". I wasn't really interested at first b/c the title came off a bit too silly. But it caught both of our eye and my friend read the description. Once I found out he was a writer, I was sold. Being a writer myself, I love to watch movies about the craft. So I picked it up, put it on my shelf, and, of course, forgot about it.

A few weeks ago, my friend watches his copy and loves it. He tells me all about it and says that I have to see it sometime. So just getting home from work today, it seemed like it was a quarter to "sometime". So I popped the tape in, and was absolutely charmed into the witty dialogue and the sweet story behind the film. I guess you can say this film was a bit of a "diamond in the rough" for me, and I'm very happy to have found it.

Best buck I've spent in a long time.

Long live wonderful, yet unknown, films. Other great obscure or forgotten ones, for anyone who cares, are "Dark Blue", "Hunted", "Suicide Kings" & "Fear Of A Black Hat".
