My best and worst characters in Final Fantasy 4

Best Characters in the game.

Cecil- He has high HPs, high strength. He is strong as a dark knight but will later be promoted to a Paladin, He can use some white magic.

You will be using Cecil throughout the entire game. Make sure you level him up so he can kill monsters much easier, he is easily one of the best fighters to have in the game.

Kain- He has high HPs, high strength. He is strong as a dragoon. His jump attacks often damage enemies.

He will leave your party twice, but the third time he joins you. You keep him for the rest of the game, he is also one of the best fighters but his jump attacks cause him to miss out on the cure spells.

Edge- He can fight enemies very fast, high strength, throw weapons in the game piercing enemy defenses. He can use 2 swords or boomerangs and damage enemies and use his own unique spells.

The only downside I've found are he has weak defenses limited armor selection, there aren't much items to steal and he doesn't have as much HPs just like Rydia. Once he joins you, you keep him for the rest of the game and his throw ability is one of the best you can have. Just make sure you have enough extra weapons for him to throw.

Yang- He can punch and kick enemies very fast, his kick move damages all of the enemies, he can use 2 claws.

The only downside I've found are weak defenses, limited armor selection. He is also one of the best fighters in the game. However, at some point in the game, he will leave your party twice.

Mediocre Characters in the game.

FuSoYa- He can cast all of the black and white magic spells. He has low HPs, attack and defense. He can get killed easily in battle.

He only joins you once. You can use him to fight the Bahamut and get his summon and he will leave your party.

Rydia- She can cast magic black spells and can cast summon spells including ones that cures the party. But she has low HPs, attack and defense. She can get killed easily in battle.

She will join you and start off as a weak fighter. But when she joins you again, Meteo takes too long to get and cast, but her summon spells can damage a group of enemies. she will be with you for the rest of the game.

Rosa- She can cast white magic spells. She doesn't get the white attack spell until she gets to a certain level. Her wall spells are very useful including on Trapdoor, Asura, and to protect against Bahamut. Her slow spell is useful against Demon Wall and Odin. But she has low HPs, attack and defense. She can get killed easily in battle.

She will join you and start off as a weak fighter. But when she joins you again, her cure and fast spells will help out the party, she will be with you for the rest of the game.

Worst Characters in the game.

Palom and Porom- They have low HPs, defense, and attack power, their spells often take time to cast, Their twin magic isn't that great. They can also die very easily in battle.

They will leave your party at some point in the game.

Cid- His attacks often miss, his HPs are ok, he can't use any magic spells. Cid will leave your party for good at some point in the game.

Tellah- He is very weak with poor HPs, poor defense, poor attack and can die very easily in battle.

A few positive notes in the game is he has very powerful magic Spells. He will at some point leave your party in the game for good.

Edward- He is literally a spoony bard with very weak with poor HPs, poor defense, poor attack and can die very easily in battle.

The only good thing he is good for is hiding. Be glad once he leaves your party for good.
