This is crap

Its a crappy game with a even crappier story. The story is beyond cliche.
"OMGWTFBBQ! Teh empya iz 3vi1. We R Reblezzz! You burn teh villagez so now joo DIE!!! OMG Airships thats teh Goodz and teh Evilz, LOLLERCOASTER!"
I hate this game. I wish it would die.

Hironobu was experimenting when he made this one I think. It still did pretty well. In every series there is always one known as the annoying odd one out so just accept it for that and appreciate it as part of the ff series (If you even care).

I'm out to prove I got nothing to prove

I do care and I dont like it... a lot.
I paid $20 to get FF 1 & 2, only to find out one of them sucks hard.
Which is why I harbor resentment.

I dun think iz so badd.

"I dun think"? Does the "dun" mean "I don't think" or as in "I done think"?
I know this is grammaticaly incorrect.

I believe the game you are protesting is Final Fantasy 4, this is a board for 2... The "Emporer went evil, and I'm burning a village" was in 4... Of course, if you bought 1 and 2 in a set together, that would be the real 2... I don't seem to remember the plot of 2... I just remember the codewords and the lack of leveling up, which I liked actually.

They burned Finn down, too.

Huh, no, there was no empire in Final Fantasy IV. The Red Wings bombard Damcyan under Golbez's, but Baron is a Kingdom, not an Empire.

Final Fantasy II, however, is the story of rebels VS Empire. It's not surprising that it mirrors Star Wars so much, since a lot of developers of the series are Star Wars fans.

I sorta feel FFII is very underrated. I wish they did more to develop the storyline for the fourth character (who shall remain nameless, but you could guess) becoming 'evil' then almost quickly going back to good. Maybe have him launch a battle against the kingdom once again, only to be put down by a 'united' front (a la FFIV/II).

I like the Dante Aligheri-esque storyline with the main villain becoming the ruler of Hell. I would have loved if one of the dungeons was journeying through him like in Dante's Inferno. The GBA remake sorta went through a 'mirror world' which was OK until you realized it doesn't change anything.

And I think the battle system and the key-words to trigger new words/effects are endlessly fascinating. Imagine what they could do with that in the newer FFs.

I like the story.

A group of orphans and their allies fighting a destructive empire.

Reminds me of Star Wars episode 4

But the level up system is the downpoint of the game. They should have made it simplier just like FF1
