the robot on the bridge at the sky castle

has anyone here actually fought it?

reply

I just beat it for the first time ever, and it was a breeze. Of course my party was around level 75!

If you can read this, then I just wasted five seconds of your time! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

reply

you can only go to level 50 cant you?

reply

I don't know about the NES version, but the PS1 version goes to 99.

thats the one I have

I beat it at level 18. On easy mod and with a powered up knight. He wa the only one who could do suitable damage.

On the NES version, I was using it to level up my Ninja, Master, Black Wizard, and White Wizard party who was in the 40's. I actually wanted to fight it instead of it wanting to get me.

In the NES version, I killed it at level 20 - it actually found me as I was going to Tiamat, and by a stroke of genius, I killed it (there is no such thing as luck with me).

In the GBA version I killed it three times, twice at 30 with a party of Kn/Ni/WW/BW - AFTER killing Tiamat I decided to stick around. And again with 4 ninjas around level 35, again, I decided to stick around after Tiamat died and find him.

I didn't want to fight it at 20 because I heard about how hard it was. They said it was harder than Chaos. When I destroyed it, I was like,"that was easy." You said you got to taimat at 20? My solo red mage is level 25 and is at the vampire. As with luck, at the beginning of my solo red mage quest, I escaped from a group of kyzokus with just one hp left!

reply

Yeah, I hit Tiamat at 20, the game's beatable at 30. I hate Red Mages, they're stupid. My group of 4 black mages in the GBA version (in which you level up much faster than the NES version) were level 7 when they killed Lich. YAY level 11 class change!

Despite the supposedly extreme odds against it, I did. On the NES game, level 40 is the highest. My party was at 37-40, I don't remember exactly. Gas Dragons kept wiping me out the first time I beat it, so I boosted my characters the next.

When I dropped Chaos easily, I tried to meet Warmech, and it found me on the third crossing.

Assume I know what I'm saying.

I don't recall fighting it, but I played this game ages ago and I beat it rather quickly so I'm not sure. What do you receive for winning?

reply

You get a whopping 32,000 gold and 32,000 experience. The experience is divided by the number of living characters. When I played it recently, it took more than six crossings of the bridge to meet it.

What the heck was your party to beat this game rather quickly? I use ProRings and fight Eye over and over to level up really high before I try taking WarMech. Raise the respond rate to eight, hold the A-button during battle, and reshuflle your party order to put the physical attackers in the more freqent first-attack spots. You should be able to average four fights per minute.

If you have a 35+ master, you may be able to wipe WarMech out in a single round.

I'd rather be rich than stupid.
