Why The Low Rating?

I guess it must be fashionable to give low ratings to low budget exploitation films even when they seem to have longer shelf life than many big budget Hollywood movies. "Carnival Magic" is somewhat cheesy in the production values, but I found myself liking the characters and emotionally involved in what was going on with them. There are not many blockbusters I could say the same for.

Come on, it's a half-assed movie about a poorly dubbed talking chimp and you're surprised it doesn't rate well?

I found it entertaining enough to sit through the whole thing without going for a break. I can not say the same for a lot of glossy loud and obnoxious Hollywood Blockbusters. Just my experience.

How is it any more poorly dubbed than any other pre-CGI talking animal?

I collect dead pigeons then I press them between the pages of a book.

Let's just say I had an easier time believing Mr. Ed.
