I love fairy tales, but this mini series is a disaster from beginning to end. The acting is horrible, the script is very boring. The whole plot is stupid. What a waste of time. "Once upon a time" is a good series.
shareI agree, I had high hopes for this but, it was awful. They got all of the fairy tale characters wrong, as if they never actually read any of the stories. Or maybe they did it on purpose trying to be funny, like "ha ha, let's make the heroine a slut." A lot of it was too crude / raunchy to let little kids watch it. I thought it was just trash. What a waste of an opportunity.

As I recall, she did the creepy weird guy who practically kidnapped her after only knowing him for like 3 hours; and not out of love, but just to kill time. Up to that point she was afraid of him, then boom, "hey I have an idea..." That's not a disney movie, that's the plot for a porno. I'm no prude, but that is not an appropriate message for the ten year olds this thing was made for. It was totally gratuitous. The whole show was trash.
It wasn't made for 10 year olds! It was based on the Grimm stories, not Disney. It wasn't released on Disney and not meant to be a kids series. So what if two characters had sex? The Grimm stories had worse *beep* than that. They actually mention the Grimm brothers in the series.
And she knew him for more than 3 hours before having sex with him.
By the time they get around to playing Hide-and-go-seek, they had known each other for at least a few weeks.

I always thought that 10th Kingdom was one of the best mini-series that I've seen along with Tin Man, the 2003 BSG mini-series, Alice (2009), and Arabian Nights. Without 10th Kingdom, we wouldn't have Once Upon a Time.

i like it. i think it is very funny, particularly the father who is a great character. i like the woolfman too, a very unusual hero.

They were full of torture body by other people and by self.....Disney Cleaned it up to make it nicey nicey In the original Cinderella one step sister cut off her toes and the other her heels to fit into the shoes. And in snow white she did send a corset to crush her ribs.....Read a book not just the movie version.
