Great slice of 1970's culture

One of those "kid" shows that has many adult elements and themes. In a few episodes, there is some obvious kid stuff but since I was a kid when this was produced, I grok to all the outdated cultural elements! When you watch this, it is full of pop culture references which if you are not aware of, will seem to be inane, or worse. Just the chance to see Gorillas mountain skiing like a WW2 movie is priceless! I love the rich detailed look and the atmosphere is heightened by the excellent soundtrack and sound effects. It funny to see what was considered "hi-tech" as compared to what it really is now that it is commonplace! Be brave, buy it, watch it, lay on the couch and drown in it and you will be back in the basement circa 1973 watching the very first Apes film hit the TV screen and it will be the talk of the summer when you are riding bikes the next day.

No. The only apes movie or show that took place during the 70s was Escape from the planet of the apes
