Should be remade now that women are more honest about their taste in men

This movie was made during the height of the whole "women like senstive guys" thing - a lie that women told and sadly enough they actually believed themselves (why this came about I'll never know).

These days women are a lot more honest about their taste in men to the point where they are opennly admitting without shame to liking "bad boys" and "arrogant" men - in reality more women who have wanted Mel Gibsons character before his epithany.

So could this film be remade to reflect this? it is only 10 years old and because the above reasons seems extremely cheesey/dated. Could be a nuch better film if it was a bit more realistic - plus the character could be the main villan and all the women completely blameless - something else women love.

Thoughts?

I don't think that all women want the same thing or that women in the 90's "deluded" themselves into believing that they wanted a sensitive guy, I think it just became trendy the way hipster beard wearing craft beer drinking guys are trendy now

I think there was also some confusion over the definition of the word sensitive. We didn't mean maudlin. Just a bit more responsive to our wants. Not at the expense of the guy's own. Just fair negotiation, and meeting in the middle, sort of thing.
