Loved it!

I love the movie. I understand that it's sort of a light-hearted take on how East Berliners and Germans, in general, didn't want the unbridled consumerism of the West to take over. I identified with Timmy very much. I feel the same way in the heartland of America.

The ending pissed me off though. Tim doesn't get the girl. That would've been sweet. Also, they all realize they're going to have to 'sell-out'. Not a great message to all the people who hate capitalism. But it IS the truth...sadly.

esp. sad when Hotte says he can get 'into' computers...you know the 'super-highway'...that was sad considering how passionate he was about "die Schweine"....:-(

we all just have to make money..forget about ideals

I do love McDonald's though. Even though it makes me fatter...lol
