Moronic conservative propaganda

Yeah

reply

OK, I'll bite. What's conservative about this movie?
The fact that it isn't obvious leftist propaganda like The Last Jedi?
Should movies even be allowed to potray things in objective and neutral manner?

reply

I don't think you know what "conservative" means.

reply

As opposed to 99 percent of movies, which are moronic leftist propaganda?

reply

That would mean the director and writer are conservatives, which they are not. So please explain your speculation.

reply

What...?

The movie takes a hard swing at restrictive refugee policy. It decries fascism. The heroes are activists (Clive Owen's character used to do the demonstration thing and only starts finding his purpose in life again after rejoining "the cause"). If anything, a lot of its political leanings seem to be towards Leftism.

It's clearly anti-war and pro-human, and those are the messages it has to send. If those are conservative principles being pushed on people, I'm for it. I don't think being anti-war and/or pro-human are owned by conservatives or liberals, but to the extent that they are, those are good ideologies.

People who describe themselves as "truth talkers" are usually conspiracy nuts and you can find them on both sides of the spectrum.

It's a lazy and convenient belief system because it doesn't require dedication to an ethos. All conspiracy addicts have to do is deflect and dismiss something they don't like as either fascism or communism.
