The last ten minutes

Gets me every time. War ends momentarily because of a wailing child. Heavy.

a very underrated movie all around.

I love that scene, and it get's me everytime as well. Just a brilliant piece of filmmaking.

On a side note /well, not really I guess/, they all go back to fighting, even after seeing the "miracle" child. Humanity, eh.

Hownos--yes, very underrated. A tour de force of filmmaking and a great--immensely valuable-- story as well.

MinaVladimir--This movie definitely shows the low parts of human nature in concert with the highs; exposing the gray areas by contrasting the extremes. There are so many lessons to be learned from this film, and I am still discovering new things--new feelings and ideas and perspectives--each time I watch it.

I agree. Rewatching it enriches the experience. So much is shown in the background, and that not only informs the world these characters a living in, but it gives you more you can dive into after you've seen the main story unfold. And the effect of the film doesn't lessen with knowing where the plot goes either.
