Terrific article. CuarĂ³n was onto something by easing up on the high-tech. While it's fun to see flying cars, Children Of Men is more effective by making its world look so plausible.
Interesting read.
Small point of note, though, the film's art dept didn't create the London 2012 logo on Theo's jumper. That was the actual logo used in the UK's bid for the games. I only mention because it's one of the little details I noticed when I first watched it that I've always loved :)

shareThey do show people logged on to the Internet, at Theo's workplace. Nice that they were just able to future-proof the film by having all the computers and televisions be flatscreens even though that was far from ubiquitous when it was made.
