WHY does Reinhold think he's so funny?

These people seem to have missed the point of 'humour'. All the way through the movie, my little sis kept sayin "Why's he shouting?" and I would think good point. Who on earth would annonce that their sewage system is blocked with dog hair in a really loud voice to a camp site???
And that doggy shaky bit. It was funny in the first film. It should have been left at the first film. But no. Lets put it in the third film. B.A.D.
And what's with saving people in the Alps????? The Newtons got Beethoven as a puppy!!!!!! He had no time to save stranded skiers!

I agree, that whole bit about "wow, he looks just like Beethoven" was pretty pointless. Though I guessed the connection for the family was more along the lines of "maybe that could be an ancestor of our wonderful dog" than "maybe it was him." But goodness, what a waste of time to bother analyzing anything in this flick. It was pure crap. I'm mad that I'll never get those 90 minutes back!!

Yeah, he is a big cheeseball.

His crowning moment was masterbating to Pheobe Cates! :)

'Cause...he is? >:} I love that guy!

And Beethoven creating a horrifying mess by shaking his wet self doesn't really get old. Certainly not by its second use, anyhow.

I agree with the other person who suggested that they probably intended to imply that the dog on the website might have been an ancestor of Beethoven. The moment was still kinda dumb and awkward, but it's better if you interpret it that way. It'd be a pretty big stretch to buy that they could have believed it actually WAS him. Or that Beethoven also served as a search-and-rescue dog. Unless he actually did. O.o Although, the family was so clueless about him to begin with anyway, I guess maybe they *could've* believed it...anyway, it isn't really worth over-analyzing. xD

He's an okay actor, but nothing special.

He did try, but he's no Charles Grodin.
