When this show was on did you ever think Shia was going to become big?

I honestly didn't he would at first, I was sure he'd be in some films but mostly in supporting roles, was I ever wrong on that prediction...

Despite some of the problems he's had in recent years I'm actually happy for him as an actor...

I've got an ignore list longer than a Chinese phone book.

I remember when Disney Channel advertised it as his most dramatic role, then came Holes and The Greatest Game Ever Played, and when he was announced to star in Transformers well 2007 was his year pretty much, he's A-list now.

I'm still a little sad Christy Carlson Romano didn't make it as big though, same with the majority of Disney Channel stars at the time.

Spider-Man 3. The Dark Knight Rises. Really, what's the difference?

With how far superior an actor is to him, i am guessing there was some behinds the scenes BS at Disney and they purposely killed her career. their a big company and if you dont play by their rules they ruin you.

But Romano was the voice of Kim Possible, which was one of their most popular shows in the 2000's, and stayed on board till the every end of it. I think what really happened and what really helped Shia become such a big star was that he tried to get away from Disney as soon as Even Stevens ended and began taking different kinds of roles in films that didn't echo Louis. He started out doing some supporting roles in tentpole films like Charlie's Angels 2, Dumber and Dumberer, I Robot, Constantine, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, and Bobby. He had a lead role in only one other Disney film--The Greatest Game Ever Played, and landed three other lead roles in Disturbia, Transformers, and Surf's Up. Disturbia and Transformers were both mega hits, Surf's Up was nominated for an Oscar, and well we all know what happened after 2007 he became an A lister. Rest is history.

There's probably some hope for Romano, but at the rate she's going now it might take a miracle for her to make as big as Shia has.

Tru Confessions was when I knew he had real talent and wasn't just another Disney Channel floosy. However, due to his start on Disney Channel, I didn't think he'd get the opportunity to go much further.

I'm not short. I'm height challenged.

When I was a kid watching these shows, the thought of any of the actors getting more famous never even crossed my mind.

Towards the end of Even Stevens run, I started to get an inkling that he, out of all the cast, had the potential to be the breakout star of the show. Mind you, I also thought that some of the other young actors would be further along in their careers at this point than they are, but what do I know?

THIS. Being older, I think about that now, even when watching newer DC shows, but as a young kid I couldn't have cared less haha

reply

Yes, I definitely thought he would become big. He really stood out on that show - he was so talented and funny.

reply

I agree, he definitely led this show. He was the centerpiece and he handled it well.
