I have every episode on tape, except for four of them:
*The horror spoof "Hey Scott, is this your frozen Ran head?"
*The one where Vern replaces a peewee football team with his midget mates.
*The episode that played before the pilot, which I also have not seen at all (I assume this is the one where Vern wakes up with Diana?)
*Can't remember the other one I haven't got.

They're mostly of really good quality. Not crystal clear, but good. Jolie Jenkins still looks fantastic, and that's what matters most to me :P

If anyone has the episodes I'm missing, I'd be interested in a copy&trade sorta deal...

I just wish they'd put it on DVD, the show was pure class right the way through.

reply

if i could get copies off you i will give you some money i have been trying to find them for years and have told all my mates about how funny it is but it has disapeared without a trace now they all think im mad which may be partly true but shasta rocks!!!!! my e-mail is [email protected] i yu cant do it then not to worry lol alex

reply

Well, i have some episodes in VHS... and i think i have the second one...

Awesome show... someone should upload it

reply

The best episode was the Halloween episode, just because of that parrot...God I loved that show.

reply

yeah, that parrot ROCKED. i just would love to have that episode.

i laugh when i read the bad reviews of Shasta McNasty b/c it was all in good fun, sheesh, it wasn't trying to win awards.

reply

if this show is rare, why don't people record the series from their VHS tapes into a movie file say mpg on their computer and make it available on Kazaa, Limewire, or any other file-sharing-software. And there are Tv-cards for PC's that can do that.

I have seen shasta and loved the show, and im trying to get a copy of it from file-sharing-software to torrent files on the internet etc.

So can someone plz who has the episodes make this show not soo rare anymore. So people who has heard of it and not seen it can watch and for people who has seen it and want to see it again like me.

Thank You

reply

Agreed! Anyone who has this on VHS have an obligation to try and find a computer with a TV-card to make video-files from it and spread it! Anyone willing to do this for the good of our cultural education? Even if you don't have all the episodes you'd still be a hero to a lot of people whoever you are!

nice find

Thanks for the interest in Shasta.

I happen to be the guy who created the show. I happen to have every episode on Beta SP and I've been thinking about converting them to DVD. If there are enough people interested to make it worth while, let me know.

It's great hearing how many people liked Shasta. As you know, the critics slammed us and we disappeared after one season. We were trying something different and I think we succeeded a few times.

Post here, or contact me through my regular email and I'll see what I an do about the DVD's.

I'm all for that!! bring it on!!

reply

PLEASE, PLEASE release "Shasta" on DVD. I know a lot of people who are dying for it to come out, myself included.

reply

Shasta needs to be released on DVD.

reply

I want a copy of Shasta! I loved the show and always set my tv to remind me when it came on. I wish it had lasted more than one season, and I'd definetely buy a DVD copy or pay for downloads of it!

reply

YOU HAVE GOT TO RELEASE THE DVD!!!!

Shasta McNasty is one of the very few shows in my life i have scheduled my plans around. When they canned it I was gutted... really gutted.

It was the funniest thing out at the time, but no one really got to see it. I'm sure it was just before its time and if it got a release now it would have a major renaissance.

Sign me up for the DVD as soon as it is ready to go. If not the DVD then stick it on tapes and I will buy them. If it is not going to be released at all then for the love of god put them on the internet with a link here for the fans.

ps. There is a service here in the UK called 'All Questions Answered (AQA)'.

Basically you text them to ask something and they will send you a text back with the answer, we have asked stuff like 'How do you make the ultimate student film?'. Their answer... invest in sound, most student productions are given away by shoddy sound production value. A good soundtrack with appropriate licensed music will be the answer (words to that effect). Not bad advice for a one page text.

I was in the car chatting with my friend en route to auditions in London and we somehow got talking about Shasta McNasty. It's weird we are like a tiny club, anyone that has seen the show, which is extremely rare, absolutely loves it and wants to know how it got dumped.

So I sent the text 'Where in the world can I get the Shasta McNasty DVD?'
AQA: 'Shasta McNasty hasn't been released in the UK on DVD, or in the USA. The show aired in the UK in early 2000 and starred Carmine Giovinazzo.

Not very helpful at all, but the reason it is interesting to you is that the reply came in seconds. The service has an hour to respond, and often use that time. For them to respond so quickly shows it is a question they have been asked before, and had ready on file. So that is an indication that at least 2 people (including me) are interested in buying the DVDs, so make them already!!

reply

please please please please do!! i've been dying to see them, i only ended up seeing two eppys, and i loved it *puppy dog eyes*

Me too. What was the show about, and what channel was it on.

SOULPATROL!!!!!

reply

It was on UPN...hence why it got cancelled.

If it was on Comedy Central, it may have stood a chance.

I´m also interested in buying "Shasta McNasty" on DVD. It was shown in Germany on pay-TV exclusively, and thank God I have taped it during the re-run, but missed the very first episode with the parrot. I transferred it to DVD, but would pay for the complete series on DVD, of course.

Please!

Jörg

reply

Yes, please release it on dvd.

Has anyone heard anything on the Shasta DVDs? I would LOVE to see the show again. I never thought to record the episodes. dumb me.

reply

I hope they release Shasta on DVD. I totally loved that show and it just disappeared.

reply

I know! Release the damn series already. Why make something and then never release it sheesh!

reply

I do have all of the episodes on VHS. Only problems are, I've moved house twice in the past 5 years, so I don't even know if they're with me or in storage somewhere. Second, I have next to NO knowledge of ripping VHS to DVD or AVI files, so that's out as well. I managed to find 2 episodes on one of my torrent sites, but no one out there has the full season for download unfortunately. No one on eBay selling bootlegged copies either. This NEEDS to be released on DVD, I don't care how much price-gouging is involved.

reply

dude... read the previous post, its just a scam. dont email him

A couples years back I went to a horror con and met Jake Busey, he mentioned having copies of Shasta McNasty on tape. I remember asking him if it would ever be released on dvd... I forget how he answered but vaguely remember him saying it didn't really have the backing to be released but the creator wanted to do it at some point.

reply

I am dying to own this show on DVD. They should have released it.
