Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives

I just wanted to comment on this episode. I thought this one was very poignant and sad, less about exploring his father's theories (though that part was fascinating) and more about a son coming to know and understand his father. It seems like, by the end of the making of this episode, that he had. I hope he finds peace and happiness in his life now.

On another note, if you want to see a nice exploration of the 'parallel universes' theory as explained in this episode (that a new universe forms to explore each possible outcome of a decision), you might want to check out the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode aptly titled "Parallels" (season 7, episode 11). A basic prior knowledge of the characters (and their relationships) and events of previous episodes is very helpful, but not essential, they do a decent job of noting the differences. Hope you enjoy it.
