I just watched an episode of this on Comedy Central and it was easily one of the worst written and acted shows I've ever seen. All of the jokes were ACHINGLY obvious, and the situations were so overwrought and extreme for seemingly no reason.

But I see everyone here seems to like it. Maybe I just saw a bad episode? It began with Mohr waking up after being declared legally dead, but I saw that Mohr died at the end of the last episode...was this episode actually originally aired? If it wasn't, I definitely see why.

I remember having seen this episode (a long time ago) and I guess it was indeed a poor performance. The series had some great moments, and I was sad to learn that it was canceled, but you’re definitely right when rating this particular episode as pretty dull.

Ya, the last episode is not great. And the first 4 episodes seem more like an introduction and a preview to the humor - almost a way of preparing for the good stuff to come. They are not a good yard stick for this series. But the Fifth to the penultimate episodes are some of the funniest television I've ever seen - even to this day. For me, they're as classic as the third and fourth seasons of Seinfeld. The fifth episode is almost the perfect way to start into the series and I'd recommend any newcomer starting there.

It's really too bad HBO let this go to FOX. If it would have stayed on HBO, it might have had a few year run and become all time classic.

If I'm not mistaken, that was the last episode.... Well, at least the last episode I'd seen aired on HBO anyway. I'd followed the entire series and absolutely loved it, but I was let down by that final ep.

It aired on Fox. It should have gone to HBO in the first place, but Fox outbid.

I guess I was so sad knowing that it had already been canceled that anything was a fix but yeah, that one was not a good example. Plus if you haven't been in on the character development how ya gonna know the signifigance of what you see? Same for arrested development..that is why they have added little updates during the show to help grab any newbies just tuning in. This is a tuff biz and the attention spans of the brass and the majority of the normal viewers doesn't help in matters of more complex shows. rs

I saw all the episodes in Argentina but didn't bother taping them because the show was so good I was sure it would be around on DVD, VHS or re-run on TV, I was wrong.

I would be extremely greatful to anyone who has access to the show that would be willing to make XviD copies of some of the episodes from cable TV & host them for a while.

Action was absolutely spectacular. Period. Hands down. I'm sure they will get around to doing DVD eventually-I have seen far more eclectic things released.

It's been a while since i saw this series, was on channel 4 or 5 over in the UK but it was brilliant. Probably just a weak episode, i caught it by accident in a graveyard slot and thought it was the best US comedy i'd possibly ever seen. Vaguely reminded me of Larry Sanders, but with a much nastier harder edge to the comedy.

Whole series being repeated on ITV 4. Pilot started last night (Wednesday). Easily one of the funniest comedy series ever. But you probably need some interest in the biz of show, evil Hollywood style to appreciate it.

I love this show. I originally saw it in Taiwan and have been trying to get hold of it ever since.

I'm going to record the remaining episodes on ITV4 and I'll encode them and make them available ;-)

I've also e-mailed ITV and given them some positive feedback on the series. If everybody else could do the same, maybe they'll show them again (Let's face it, how much positive feedback do ITV get about anything?)

DAMN STRAIGHT
any show that starts with Warren Zevon's "Even a dog can shake hands" is AWESOME!!!
I thought the whole point of the show was to be obscenely obvious and phony as far as making fun of Hollywood and the types of people who are in the entertainment business

I love this show, I hope the region 4 DVD is released, if not I'll buy the region 1. I had all the episodes on tape but lost it when I moved to the UK.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! I just bought the DVD set and spent 2 days watching all 13 episodes plus the bonus material. I believe this show was aired before its time. If it came out today, it would be a phenominal hit....

As for the last episode, the passion for this series was no longer there. And as many have mentioned it was VERY noticible. It began after the 8th episode. I discovered that it was then that they learned the show had been canceled. The remaining five episodes still contained alot of comedy but lost most of its edginess.

I wish they would resurrect this show. Maybe make it one of those things where they pick up X amount of years later. Start with the anticipated sequel to Beverly Hills Gun Club.

I don't think that was a very good episode, because I just watched the entire series, and that one didn't make an impression on me at all. There are definitely funnier ones.

Actually...this show was very well written. Once again, people don't like this show because it doesn't fit the formula for good shows. I personally thing that Fox hasn't aired a show that good since they cancelled it. I honestly suggest that you see another episode, maybe more than another one before passing judgment on it. Just a thought.
