I can't seem to find english lyrics for "A Flor e o Espinho." I guess no one has recorded an english version yet?

here's the portuguese lyrics (source: http://www.mpbnet.com.br/musicos/nelson.cavaquinho/letras/a_flor_e_o_espinho.htm). I used the google translator, but the results were pretty nonsensical. Does anybody know Portuguese?

The flower and the thorn

I just want to go on in pain;
For today, to you I am a thorn;
but injure not the flower for the thorn.***
Alas, I go astray in the presence of your soul;
the sun cannot live near the moon.

In my reflection I see my woe;
I see my pain in my tearful eyes.
Before I was a flower of your life,
but now, in your love I am a thorn.
