There is no magic in this film

You get the feeling that they just pointed the camera at Penelope Cruz and basically hoped for the best. There is a much smaller film, Simply Irresistible, that has a vaughly similar idea but is a sweeter film where the silly little magical twists work.
I think for this film the light as air soufle they were attempting collapsed, possibly with the escaping air making a rude noise in the process.
