An unexpected treat!

I was flipping channels one afternoon at about 3 minutes past the hour and stopped when I saw William H. Macy on my set. I usually enjoy his movies, and I was drawn in to the story almost immediately. Thank goodness I didn't see the words "Made for Television" before I gave this movie a chance. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I rented it and made my husband watch it.

Macy plays the role of accidental criminal with such fumbling charm that you don't know whether to root for him, pity him, or fear that the guy next door is capable of dumping your body in the river without looking back.

If it's possible to create a light-hearted dark comedy, this one deserves the label. Great fun!

I, too just happened to watch. My roomate had just finished watching Dawson's Creek and it came on (tv) afterwords. I seen "TNT" come up, figured it was a TV movie and almost switched off it. I let it play for a few minutes, and never turned it off. I was very impressed, and while i didn;t find the movie laugh out loud funny, i htought the whoe thing worked well (even when he was talking straight to the camera). It kept me wondering what it would do next, and surprising me the whole way. One thing i especially liked about it was that Macey never seemed cheesy or unbelieveable. He is the exact kind of guy you would think about playing this role while reading a plot summary.
