Anyone Else Felt Sorry For Edith Tree.....

in the first segment of the movie??? I sure did. The story clearly showed how utterly awkward and inconvenient it was having a homosexual relationship in an era that strictly viewed it as unacceptable. Vanessa Redgrave deserved that Emmy Award for her excellent performance as Edith.

Totally agree, she deserved some major applause for that performance.
The pain of her character just radiated from her. So fantastic!

Absolutely!

I had never felt such intense feelings about a character before this...

Such an amazing story and performance.

I completely agree. Redgrave os a brave, independent actress. Not her only time playing a lesbian.
