HOHOKEKYO TONARI NO YAMADA-KUN (MY NEIGHBORS THE YAMADAS) is only funny at times. The animation style made it clear that I was in for a very retro movie. That’s why I forgave the constant cheesyness, but what I couldn’t forgive was the fact that it felt like a bunch of episodes from a 1970s family TV show. I know that was on purpose too, but did it have to be so meandering and boring?

HOHOKEKYO TONARI NO YAMADA-KUN (MIS VECINOS LOS YAMADA) solo es chistosa de repente. El estilo de animación dejó claro que yo estaba por ver una película muy retro. Es por eso que perdoné la constante cursilería, pero lo que no pude perdonar fue el hecho de que se sintió como un montón de episodios de un programa de TV familiar de la década de 1970. Sé que eso fue a propósito también, ¿pero tenía que ser tan deambulante y aburrida?

HOHOKEKYO TONARI NO YAMADA-KUN (I MIEI VICINI YAMADA) solo è buffa a volte. Lo stile d'animazione è chiarito che stavo per vedere un film molto retro. Per quello ho perdonato il fatto che è stato sdolcinato costantemente, ma non ho potuto perdonare il fatto che si è sentito come un sacco d'episodi d'un programma di TV familiare degli anni 1970. So che quello è stato di proposito anche, ma doveva essere così contorto e noioso?
