Does anyone know if the novel "Patagonia" which is used in this series is in fact a real novel, or is it just a creation of the writer's imagination?

BTW, this is one fine piece of television drama. We Americans could do with a little more intelligent tv like this!

Just got this movie from Amazon.com! Loved it! I Googled PATAGONIA did not find a book by that title. I really enjoyed this film!!!!!!!! I had also ordered Sharpe's Waterloo so on I go to watch that. I am also waiting for another one of Mr. Bean's film (Windprints) from ebay Canada.

No it's not a real book. I did it and it was a name that had to be cleared and the cover was fabricated and put onto a copy of another book. the magic of film making!
