When was the later in life interviews done with all the actors?

Does anyone know this? It doesn't seem possible that the footage was filmed in the early 90s when this was produced. I mean, they are interviewing people that were in their 20s or 30s in some films from the early 1930s.

Just curious if anyone knows.

If the people you're referring to were in their 20s and 30s during the 1930s, they would've been anywhere between their 60s and 70s. Why is that so impossible to believe?

Some of the interviews were taken from the Kevin Brownlow documentary Hollywood that aired in 1980. I believe those interviews took place in the late 70s. The ones from earlier were identified as such.

The rest are clearly from the 90s.

This is one of the things I didn't like about the documentary - it failed to note which interviews were new and exclusive to this show and which were clipped from older previous documentaries. Generally when you are showing old interview footage the year in shown in parenthesis below the person's name. It's obvious of course in the b&w interviews with Clarence Brown, etc. but those not that familiar with old Hollywood and who was still alive and/or well might presume the footage of King Vidor, Lillian Gish, Eleanor Boardman, etc. was shot for this special.
