WHY NO SCHEMER!?!

Well if he'd been in the movie, there would've definitely been a call for a plot set at Shining Time Station, and because the producers wanted to focus squarely on Sodor and the "magic railway", they kept the Shining Time scenes minimal, which meant, no Schemer.
