My response to replacing the voices of Thomas, James and Percy

Now we remember hearing that a dude from the Isle of Man named John Bellis was going to voice Thomas in this movie. As it turned out, the voice actor listed in the cast at the end was Eddie Glen, and we found out they rejected Bellis' voice for Thomas for sounding old. Now, I've only heard Eddie Glen voice Thomas in a more youthful manner. However, I've recently watched a few Season 3 episodes in their UK version with Michael Angelis narrating as he has since then. I found out the Angelis voiced James and Percy in the Magic Railroad, but were rejected by test audiences for sounding too old like Bellis was for Thomas. The voices of James and Percy were both replaced by Canadian woman actors, respectively, Susan Roman and Lynda Ballentine. This made them sound like kids, and I think James sounded too young. Well, I've heard Michael Angelis voice James when narrating Season 3, and I like HIS voice better than Susan Roman. The airy-fairy tone fits James' vain, egotistical more than especially sounding like a kid. In fact, James, Thomas, and Percy are older than Gordon. Gordon was built at Doncaster in 1922, James was built in 1915, Thomas in 1913, and PERCY in 1897, believe it or not, although he came to Sodor in 1949 when acquired and named by the Fat Controller/Sir Topham Hatt when Gordon, James and Henry were refusing to shunt, and Thomas and Edward needed help keeping things going and so did the Fat Controller. I also like Michael Angelis' voice for Percy in the UK episodes, especially better than Lynda Ballentine, since now we know that Percy's not as young as we thought. In fact, he's older than Toby, who was built in 1903, but is still old. Colm Feore did a fine job with his voice as an elder engine. Feore is ironically a more established actor having played characters like the ill-fated Dr. Malcolm Walsh, whose death in the hands of terrorist Castor Troy, whose face (Nicholas Cage), was taken by Sean Archer (John Travolta) to infiltrate Castor's brother Pollux and stop their evil plot, got Archer stuck with Castor Troy's face (Cage) as the real Castor tortured Dr. Walsh and Archer's allies, forced them to put Archer's face on him, and as a reward (I'm being ironic), murdered them. As for Susan Roman and Lynda Ballentine, both of them have done voices for the English dub of the anime Sailor Moon, the former the longtime voice of Lita/Sailor Jupiter and the latter one of many voices for the title character, known in America as Serena, but in Japan as Usagi.
My point being I would have preferred Michael Angelis play Percy and James, even though I never heard John Bellis voice Thomas, obviously. Still Thomas and Percy aren't that young, and Angelis' voice for James fits his character perfectly, especially compared to Alec Baldwin's voice that made him sound gay, although I am not homophobic.

James should have been played by US narrator George Carlin, his voice just fits james.
