I just realised Perry was played by a girl

I saw this movie about 4 years ago and loads of times years ago and yesterday i watched it for the first time in ages and cam eon here and realised that the person playing Perry is a girl.

How come? Thats a bit weird, i thought it was a man, sounded like a man as well.
