I watched this again recently for the first time since I was like a senior in high school, and I loved it. I see nothing unmanly at all in loving a film with so many hot ladies.

shareIn honor of my girlfriend's and my anniversary today, I'm watching it for the first time in a long time. It's still a great movie and it's interesting to see these actors again compared to having seen them in other things many years later (Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Bradford, Eliza Dushku).
I remember going to a convention where Clare Kramer (Courtney) was one of the guests. I'd stood up and complimented her on her work in "Bring It On" (which she thanked me for) and then asked her if she'd seen the sequel [at the time, there was only one...) and she said she hadn't. I'd advised against it.
(Now, truth be told, I haven't seen the sequel [or any of the others] myself, but I've noticed that sequels that don't have any of the original cast tend to be...not good. )
No, but then again I'm not gay or into un-bearably cheesy movies. I thought this movie was cool when I was in like middle school, but now that I'm in my twenties, the sophomoric dialog/acting makes me wanna slug the script writer/director. And the kid who played the "new kid in school" gave me the sudden urge to want to beat his ass because his acting was so poor and awkward. Same goes for the "bitchy" cheerleaders, and that girl who says "we should beat these buffy's down". My god does that girl make want me to dip my head in a drum of acid. A good movie for tweens, but not for mature males. It doesn't matter how many hot chicks are in it, there aren't enough hot babes in the world for this movie to not be a waste of time. If I wanna see a terribly acted movie with a terrible script and a lot of hot chicks, I'll just watch a porno. Not even Eliza Dushku could save this immature crap.

I used to constantly watch this film nearly 10 years ago (that's scary, time flies) I thought Sparky was hilarious, I might have to watch it again to see how it's aged.
Although I'd feel like a bit of a perv now that the girls are so young and I'm now 25!

Not only do I like it, but it's one of my favourite movies (in TOP how many? I don't know). I'm not going to excuse it with "hot chicks" or some crap like that. It's just fun movie overall. Propably most enjoyable thing about it, is the way cheerleading is handled as such serious matter, but in humorous way (the sequel had no humor in that matte - if at all). Like when Dunst talk on the phone to her boyfriend about "the gauntlet being thrown".
Plus it also has some great scenes, like the toothbrushing scene, which should be considered one the greatest scenes ever. It's up there with Chaplin's food dance, or measuring the UFO in Hawks' The Thing
I must admit I'd probably never watched it, was there no Kirsten Dunst, since I've kinda been her fan ever since I saw Jumanji back in the 90's.
