Black Cobra 3: Manila Connection

I love how the on-screen title just says "Manila Connection" like they just don't care. They couldn't be bothered to add the word "The" to the front of the subtitle.

I'm not sure if I like this or the second film better. Despite being the cheesiest, I still think the first movie was the most enjoyable. I guess I might give this one a slight edge over the second film. I think the female lead was the worst of the three, but the action was better than in the second film and so were the villains. How did the CIA ever hire such a prissy individual, anyway? Most of the film, she made Kate Capshaw's character in Temple of Doom look bad ass. I was really surprised when they showed she was capable of holding her own in a fight there at the end. Maybe the prissiness is just a cover? Who knows?

I'm also kinda surprised that, despite the second and third film being set in Manila, there's no connection between them. They could have at least shown a little bit of continuity by saying that the bad guys were members of the same terrorist group from before.
